Can’t Get Polling Option In Editor To Centre
-
I just noticed the new polling option in my blog’s editor and when I went to try it out I noticed that even though I had the poll code set to centre that it kept showing up along the left side of my blog article. I’m wondering if there is any way to centre the poll for aesthetic reasons or does it not work that way? Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The code I’m using is [polldaddy poll=1028583] and the HTML for it reads <p style=”text-align: center;”>[polldaddy poll=1028583]</p>

You need to use a div to center it:
`<div style=”text-align:center;”>[polldaddy poll=your poll number]</div>

Excellent, but it doesn’t seem to show up properly on my browser. It works for IE so I suppose that’s good enough. Thanks.

I just tried rosclarke’s tip and it’s just as kaioshinsama said, IE centres it OK but on Firefox it’s still rooted to the left. Is there another code that is cross browser compatible?
Am trying to get the wedding poll to work on this page http://shimworld.wordpress.com/weddings/
Thanks.

Stangely the aligncenter command doesn’t work while left and right do. So you can use a large margin workaround:
<div style="margin-left:100px;">SHORTCODE_HERE</div>
Suitable number depends on theme as well as design of poll selected: should be around 100 for kaioshinsama’s k2, around 200 for shimworld’s Journalist. -

We need a link to your wordpress.COM blog in order to help. And consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum
