Can't get portfolio to show in menu???

Someone please help! I have spent all day trying to figure this out. I need my portfolio to show up in the menu so people can view it, but I can only seem to get there when I type /portfolio at the end of the url. There doesn’t seem to be a way to have a button for it in the menu, but that doesn’t make any sense.
If you know anyway I can get this to work please let me know. For now I have them all showing as post under my ‘blog’ but I don’t want them each in their own post like that.

You can add portfolio page to your menu by creating the custom link in menu and naming that menu as portfolio.
Steps to add custom link :
1 Go to My sites
2 Go to customize
3 select menu section
4 click on add item
5 click on add custom link
6 in url section type the url of the page and then add the name for that linkthen add that to the menu on specific location

Surprise, lol. I have a problem. I followed these instructions, and it when I go to the site and click portfolio under the menu, the page doesn’t show my posts.
I have one post in the portfolio right now and it is called ‘testing’, and when I go to my website.com/portfolio/testing it brings me to it no problem. But with just website.com/portfolio nothing shows up.
Sorry if this doesn’t make much sense.

I have tried it by adding portfolio link to my menu and it is working fine for me on another portfolio theme you can have look on this:

If yes than you should remove the custom link and again try it once otherwise their is some mistake in creating projects as there are not showing up on the portfolio page.

Let me start by sincerely thanking you for all the assistance you are giving me. I am learning so much from your help.
So I went ahead and removed the custom link and tried going to nikkiwiestdesign.com/portfolio and now none of my projects will show up. I am unsure of how I could have added the projects wrong. I went to Manage>Portfolio>Add, and when I am in the portfolio section they all show for me. But when I try to view it as the website I can’t find them anywhere.

You have done the correct thing I have now tested on your theme Atlas and it is showing me project page empty too.
But I found the solution for your issue it’s empty because we haven’t applied any featured image to project.(this is because coding is done like article>div>figure so if no figure then it’s not showing the project even)
Edit your project and apply featured image to the project and then try once you will surely get the projects there.

I have added the projects to the portfolio, but I don’t see a “apply feature image” option anywhere. How is this done?

Click on your project the screen will come where you can edit that project on the right-hand side you will find the Project Settings options
Click on the Featured Image
Click on set Featured Image
Then Upload the Image
After that Update your Project and then check this on your portfolio page.

Everything looks great and is working awesome. One things I would like to adjust is the feature image size, once its click on. Its really big when I open the image and can’t be fully seen on the screen. Is there a way to resize these?

– Yes, you can resize the image but for that, you need to add custom CSS for that you should be on minimum Premium or Business Plan of WordPress.

Ahh, I think we have reached the extent of my knowledge. I tried to figure out where to input that code, but nothing seems to work for me. I have very very minimal code experience and I don’t even know how to access the full code on wordpress.
I won’t ask you to try to explain all of that, so I will try just resizing the images in photoshop and re-upload them to see of they are smaller.

Its very simple to add custom css to your WordPress site.
Steps to Add Custom CSS
1 Go to My Sites
2 Click on Customize button
3 select Custom CSS (will be shown if on premium or Business plan)
4 A panel will be there add the last code I sent to that panel.But keep one thing in mind that you can only add custom CSS if you are under Premium and business plan, Try adding CSS we are here to help you because these 3 4 line code will help you change the size easily.
