I Can’t get rid of “search” or “meta”. I’ve removed all of the widgets from the side bar.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can remove the widgets here > Appearance > Widgets and replace them with widgets of your own choice. If you do not want any widgets at all in your sidebar place an empty text widget at the top of the sidebar.

Empty text widget did the trick. Removing all widgets doesn’t seem to work. Should I report this? Is it a bug?
Anyway, thank you very much for the help.

No it’s not a bug. It’s normal behavior. we know that removing all widgets does not work. :) And we know that placing an empty text widget at the top of the sidebar does. I’ ee you have now done this. Happy blogging. :)

When there is nothing that you have specifically placed into the sidebar, what the theme will do is display a sample set of widgets, a default set. This is done to allow people to see what the theme looks like with widgets, and also to keep there from being a big blank spot beside the content.
If you have the CSS upgrade, then you can use a “display:none;” for whatever the sidebar selector is to hid it also.
