cant get rid of the menu bar at the top

  hello,

  in simple terms (im new to wordpress and design), how can I get rid of the menu at the top of my site. i used to have just the side bar which im happy with, them i was messing with settings and ended up with the menu bar at the top. really want to turn it off again but can’t see where i do this.

  Go to appearance > menu, create a custom menu with nothing in it and save. In the Theme Location module, select that blank menu from the pulldown and click save.
