can't get rid of white line in sidebar
-
I added some icons to my sidebar via a text box today, and a white bar appears underneath the top three icons, no matter what I try to do to get rid of it.
I’m using the Misty Lake theme and the only CSS I’ve changed is to widen the column width.
I’m a noob at this stuff. I’ve searched and searched – sorry if this is too basic of a question to pose here.
Thanks in advance!

That’s the white space that separates the widget from the next widget. The grey bg doesn’t have the right height because it is affected by the wrap-around effect of the left-aligned images. When you add floating elements (left- or right-aligned), you must clear the floats at the end. Paste this after all the code you’ve added:
<div style="clear:both;"></div> -

Hi Elysia,
Just to confirm, you were able to get this sorted out correct? I’m no longer seeing the white bar appear on the screen.
Best,
Jeremey
