can't get sharing buttons to appear on pages or posts

Hi! I’m setting up my second wordpress.com site and I can’t seem to get my sharing buttons on my pages. I have followed all the steps and, as far as I know, I’m setting things up correctly. I have the sharing buttons set on allegracoe.wordpress.com (my other site) and they work fine. I have searched and searched and cannot find what I am doing wrong. Please help!!

The other site you’re referring to, is this allegracoe.com? This is a self hosted WordPress.org site, so to be able to adjust your sharing buttons you would need to log in to your wp-admin panel at http://allegracoe.com/wp-admin, and then click on Settings > Sharing in the main menu.

Thanks, jjberg83! I should have been more clear, my fault. The allegracoe.wordpress.com site wasn’t the one I was referring to. The one I am having problems with is perkyoctopus.wordpress.com, a free site that is not self-hosted. Posting sharing buttons seems like a pretty straightforward process and I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong.
I also have a wordpress.org site, but I am not having any problems there. Thanks for your advice!

Sorry for the late reply. If you want to include sharing buttons on perkyoctopus.wordpress.com, try out this method. If you get stuck, just let me know where you’re having problems, and we’ll figure this out.
– log in to WordPress.com. Click My sites, make sure you’re on the right blog, and then click Sharing (underneath the Configure settings).
– there are two tabs at the top (Connections and Sharing buttons). Choose Sharing buttons.
