Can't get Testimonials to appear?

  I have a static front page, and can’t get my testimonials to appear on any of my pages. I would ideally like them to appear under my ‘About Us’ page. Any ideas??

  Hello again.

  It seems that in order for the built-in testimonials to appear in Sela, the theme you are using, you need to set up the special page template. Have a look here: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sela/

  Barring that, you could simply add blockquotes to your About page.

  Let me know if Jennifer’s guidance helped you out.

  There are two options for displaying testimonials in Sela – either you apply the front page template to your static homepage as described in the setup guide, or you navigate to the automatically generated testmonial page here: thimbleinteriors.wordpress.com/testimonial/

  Of course you could also add them manually, as Jennifer suggests – that’s a good workaround if you’d like them to appear elsewhere.

  I have a question about the testimonials feature on the front page template with Sela. I understand that it would rotate through your testimonials, but the same 2 always appear on the homepage. any thoughts?

  Hi Amy, Sela lets you set the order of your testimonials by putting a number in the Order field in the Attributes box:

  

  Testimonials 1 & 2 are then displayed on the front page.

  The Sela documentation incorrectly says that the two front-page testimonials are random, I’m going to fix that now!

  I’ve clarified the way Sela displays testimonials in the documentation:

  – The dedicated testimonial archive page displays all testimonials in reverse chronological order, with the newest displayed first.
  – The Front Page Template displays the most recent two testimonials. If you prefer to select which two testimonials are displayed on the homepage, add the number 1 or 2 to the Order field in the Page Attributes box.
