Can't get the later version of a post to restore for additions and edits.

  I wrote a part of a post, saved it as a draft to return to later, did so. Then I saved that. When I returned, the first fragment was the visible post for editing and the second was listed as a revision. I clicked on the revision, saw the comparison, requested that the later version be restored. Nothing happens. When I go back to the post title to add and edit, I get the first fragment, not the second that I clicked to restore. I don’t blog much but this one is important.
