Can't get the right custom DNS changes for email
-
The directions in DNS changes are confusing me. I need help formatting this info in the DNS changes for email:
CNAME autodiscover EXCHANGE.PEGGYSKOMAL.COM.
MX 10 MAIL1.DAEMONMAIL.NET.
MX 20 MAIL2.DAEMONMAIL.NET.
TXT v=spf1 include:mail.peggyskomal.com ~all
A mail.peggyskomal.com 216.104.191.40I was told at the domain registry that I only needed:
mail.peggyskomal.com
MX 1 MAIL1.DAEMONMAIL.NET.
MX 2 MAIL2.DAEMONMAIL.NET.But the formatting is not working. Please help! Thanks….Mark

For starters – the DNS examples are examples to give you a guideline on how the records should look – don’t use any more records than your email host tells you to use.
My custom email only uses two lines –
EXACTLY – what did your email host send you? Please post it here between the code tags –
mail.peggyskomal.com is not complete – needs something at the start of the line
I will also flag this for staff attention

Hi auxclass,
I was unaware of this email response – so sorry if I clogged up matters on the other.
My email provider helped me post these DNS changes:
A mail.peggyskomal.com 216.104.191.40
MX 1 MAIL1.DAEMONMAIL.NET.
MX 2 MAIL2.DAEMONMAIL.NET.Will these work?
Thanks,
Markmid
