Cant get to a link due to Certificate issue or the Community link
-
I am trying to get to a page in my site and it keeps saying
There is a problem with this website’s security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website’s address.
Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.
I read the questions on the page but when I try to click on the answer it does the same thing. -
Hello,
Can you post the link so we can check on it?
I’m guessing you’re using Internet Explorer that’s why you’re getting that warning message.
Here’s a workaround from Microsoft:
To work around this issue, install the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) self-signed certificate on the client computer. To do this, follow these steps:
In Windows Internet Explorer, click Continue to this website (not recommended).A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
Click the Certificate Error button to open the information window.
Click View Certificates, and then click Install Certificate.
On the warning message that appears, click Yes to install the certificate.Reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/931850
Suggestion: Try using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, if there’s still an error, please report back.
