Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.

If the log-in information is lost you need to visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

That is the problem. It is telling me that I don’t have the necessary privilege to access my dashboard. If you read the blog you will see my email address noted a couple of times. There would be no logical reason why someone, other than myself, to put that there. And yet, I can’t get in. :(

Hi there,
The e-mail on the site you referenced is not the same e-mail associated with the account. Also, the site is under a different account/username than the one you are contacting us from – which is why you’re having trouble logging in.
You must log in under the e-mail or username associated with the account to gain access.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

I understand that you are not allowed to give out information, so would it be possible to send the email address connected to the account to the email address mentioned in this article?

I should be able to log into the correct account from there.

Hi there,
What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account so that you can check all of your e-mails and see which one receives the message. All you would need to do is respond from that e-mail to verify ownership. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

If I knew the email associated with the account I would be able to log into it. Unfortunately I do not have that information. I can provide you with anything else. The purchase date is 5/18 for $26.00. The card (now turned off) end in 0603. My name is Eric Trott. Address city is either Victor or Fairport.

Hey there,
If you have the PayPal transaction ID for the $26 purchase back on 5/18, that will verify the account.
All our payments are processed by PayPal (even if you paid directly with a credit card).
PayPal can provide you with this transaction ID, which we can then verify on our end. It’s a 17-digit number. You can reach them at:
1-888-221-1161
1-402-935-2050 (if calling from outside the U.S.)You can find additional ways to contact PayPal here:
https://www.paypal.com/us/contactus
When contacting PayPal, please have the following details of the transaction ready:
– Name on card
– Amount and date of transaction
– Card numberThanks,

I will even do you one better as well. If you view this blog article:
At the very bottom you will see both this username and the name associated with the account I am requesting information about. This should prove that I use both on a regular basis.

There are only three things that we accept as proof of ownership for a WordPress.com blog and account. Anything else provides security risks.
If you could please fill out our account recovery form, we’ll definitely get in touch with you as soon as possible. You should see the three things we accept as proof of ownership.
Please visit our support page for more information on recovering your account.
Thank you,
