Can’t get to the code page

Add topic to favorites
I am trying to edit a previous post and my about me page and cannot get the code to show-it stays on visual. Any help?

I’m having the opposite thing. I’ve got my “Use visual editor” option checked in my options, and yet when I try view a particular post or page in the visual editor, it won’t load, and stays on the “code” option. The tab is there, only when I click to go back and forth from “Visual” to “Code” it stays on the code option.

This happened to me once before and I just gave up, logged out and when I came back later it was working, so I don’t know what the issue ever was.

Hmmm. I’m just not that patient of a person. LOL. I guess I’ll try that “go away for awhile” tactic again. Just thought I’d share it in case anyone else is having the same trouble.

Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies and then log back in and try again.

I did all of the above and this morning it is still not working. Seems like I can’t get to the code on any page.

Oops, sorry that is not correct. The only code I cannot get to is the ! Vote For Us ! page. It may have something to do with the clickable links on that page. When I first posted these links were on my About Me page and when I went to edit I could not get to that code. So I deleted the links using the visual and created a new page where I inserted the links. Now I can’t get into the code for this new page (! Vote For Us !).

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried the edit option from Manage>Pages?

You mean the edit option isn’t there or you click on it and..what happens?

The edit option is there and the normal screen opens with the visual tab and the code tab. When I click on the code tab nothing happens.

It just stays at the visual.

It shouldn’t, as you know, but let’s try to solve your editing problem. Are you trying to remove a link? If so, just highlight it and click on the unlink icon — looks like a broken chain.

If it’s something else you’re trying to do, what is it?

Are they linked photos like the others on your page? If so, where are the photos? Are you hotlinking or uploading them to your own space?

I’d like to try something. Would you please post the code here between backticks? The backtick key is just to the left of the 1 on your keyboard.
