  Have you tried turning off the visual editor by going to users > your profile and deselecting the “use visual rich text editor” and then clicking “update profile”?

  patti – I wasn’t able to do what I thought I might be able to. I’m sorry. If thesacredpath has no trick up his sleeve (and he might!) I am out of ideas, short of contacting support.

  You said you cleared your cache and cookies. Did you reboot?

  You’re welcome, and it could be that when you turn it back on, that the code tab will start acting as it should.
