Can’t Go Into New Post Section

  I have been trying to publish new article, and each time I clicked on to the new post bar, the page will try logging in halfway and then quit Safari altogether.

  I have no problem accessing other Safari windows or other pages online, only when it comes to WordPress.com new post section, my whole application will just quit.

  I was even contemplating to sign up for other blogging hosts, but I love WordPress too much to let it go. :(

  So please, can someone tell me what is going on?

  I need to publish new articles soon.

  Safari has issues with Ajax (the flavor of javascript used here). This is the one case where the forum volunteers recommend trying a different browser. People have reported success with Firefox and Camino.

  Pretty much. I know the developers of Safari are working up better javascript support. Didn’t Mark say 10.5 we should start seeing things working better?

  hmmm, so what should I do?

  Is there any way I can tweak around with it? Do something to Safari, maybe?

  I think katm says up there to use a different browser. Safari doesn’t support javascript fully here and elsewhere on the net and that’s why you’re having issues.

  It’s weird because I used to have no problems uploading to WordPress using Safari for months, and just last week suddenly everything changed.

  That’s why for a sudden I got pretty anxious.

  Hmm I’m a complete techie dodo, so one LAST help, how do I get Firefox or Camino on? :X

  I don’t know how to install it as I am stuck with a PC rather than a Mac, but you can download the app from http://www.mozilla.org and go from there.

  As a word of caution… Word sticks in formating that doesn’t always play nice. You’re better off copy/pasting into something like TextEdit (I think that’s the Mac plain text editor) and then copy/pasting that into the editor on wp.com. Use the visual editor to reformat. Or write the html by hand in TextEdit and paste it into the code editor here at wp.com or get an offline blog writer (Ecto is one I see recommended for the Mac, but it’s not free).
