cant import from xanga

  Hi my name is joel. I’m trying to import archived files from Xanga to wordpress and I get this message
  “Import WordPress
  Sorry, there has been an error.
  This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number”
  I have for files I downloaded from xanga, stated an account here but can seem to get this imported. if you could help that would be great.

  Hey there –

  Please take note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import every file included in the .zip folder individually.

  It looks like you first tried importing the .zip folder itself, which will not work. Since then, I see .xml imports from Xanga and you now have a number of posts showing up on your site. Is everything now working properly?
