Can't insert a photo

  I’m trying to insert photos to a specific place in the post, but ever since the new version I can’t do it. I chose “add media”, and it lets me upload the photo to the gallery. then I click on the photo I want to add, and it makes check mark on it. but then when I click the “Insert photo” it just takes me back to the post where no photo was added. I also checked the preview and even tried publishing, but the photo does not appear.
  What am i doing wrong??

  Try posting from your site’s dashboard>Posts>New Post instead. There you can drag a picture from your computer and drop it into the Editing space to upload it.

  It dosen’t work. actually it never worked for me. It happens as I described: After chosing the photo from the galery or draging it in, I click the “Insert photo” and it just takes me back to the post without the photo. It was always like that when I was trying to use the ddashboard>Posts>New Post. Up until now it was no problem since I could add photos from the “new post” shortcut in the top corner. But now this option is blocked so I need to figure out why it dosn’t work for me. I tryed changing my firewall definitions but iit dosn’t work. and this is sooooo frustrating…

  ok! got it now! there was a pop-up blocker that prevented the upload :-)

  I can’t insert pictures either :( I enabled the pop-ups now but it still doesn’t work. I can drag them into the gallery field but not in my post.

  @ swissmiss– it sounds like your problem will be solved by following justjennifer’s advice, even though twdo actually had a slightly different problem. Did you try starting a post from your dashboard rather than the wordpress.com front page?

  Started having the same problem as Twdo? Nothing happens after click the “Insert” button. What seems to be the problem?

  @themadeinproject2014–did you check to make sure you’ve allowed popups on WordPress? That solved it for @twdo. . .

  And also avoid the New Post button completely. Make the blog posts on the dashboard Add New post page.
