Why can't I insert image links?

  I follow the guidelines to insert image links, but whatever url I paste, I get a red cross in front of it and the “Insert into Post” button stays grey. Connected my Flickr account to my blog, plaayed with image licensing, kept trying for a few hours today, even installed Chrome (normally I use Firefox 4); nothing. What else could be wrong?

  You are probably using a flickr html page link and not a direct image link. An image link ends in .jpg, .gif, or .png. Can you check to make sure you are using a direct image link?

  If you’re not sure, please post an example of a link you tried to use and we’ll take a look for you.
