Can’t insert vertical space between lines of text

  Hello,
  I am a new user and I am having trouble inserting space between lines of text (so all my text isn’t crammed together vertically). I have only been able to make space by using dotted lines or the underline tool. In the past I’ve used the
  html
  multiple times to insert such spaces, but it didn’t seem to work with wordpress.
  It seems such a simple fix, can anyone help?

  oops, should say the html code for a line break, not an actual line break:)
  so at least the code html in the forum text box?

  HTML standards are one blank line between paragraphs, are you not getting that when you hit return at the end of a paragraph in the visual editor? Or are you wanting more than one line of space between?

  @terrydarc: Note that empty divs are deleted if you switch from HTML to Visual.
