Can’t launch free sites any more

    My students have been creating free WordPress sites. (we are NOT a high-income school.) One student has picked a free option for his domain name, but when he goes to launch the site, only paid options, with different names from what he has shown, are available. He has tried several times with other names and emails, but always gets the same result. Is WordPress no longer free any more, as of today? (Everything was working yesterday.)
    Summary – he chose a FREE option OFFERED by WordPress. he is UNABLE to launch it.

    Wordpress has become VERY VERY user unfriendly. I am so disappointed!!!

    Hi there,

    We are currently addressing an issue regarding this glitch – I apologize for the inconvenience. To launch your site and avoid purchasing a plan, you’ll need to go to Manage > Settings and click the Launch Site button from there. The two Launch Site buttons from the My Home page does not give you that option:
