Can’t launch web site

Two days ago, I paid for a personal plan for a year. I can see the purchase on my Sites dashboard with a renewal date a year away. However, when I try to launch my site, I am still being prompted to buy a plan. What else do I have to do?

From what I’m seeing, your site acweaver42-ugpnm.wordpress.com was created using our AI site builder. Those AI-built sites can only be launched on a Premium or Business plan, which is why you’re still seeing the prompt to upgrade even though your Personal plan is active.

Thanks for your response. I was afraid it was something like this. WordPress.com needs to make it clear that the AI generator is only valid for specific plans. At no point during the creation process does it tell you this.
I spent an hour creating a site, paid $48 to publish it, and then I find out that I need to spend more money. This feels like bait-and-switch.

I’m glad to have found this topic, as I’m going through the same thing. I bought a Personal account but can’t launch because apparantly I used a premium feature, so now I need to pay another $10 a month to get this page off the ground.
Forget it. I’m going to wix.
