Can’t leave comments on other blogs

  When I leave a comment on another WordPress Blog, it disappears without a trace. I can comment on my own blog without issues. I asked one of the bloggers to look at it from her side, but I don’t know the bloggers in question well enough to bug them about it, I’m new to the community. Can anyone suggest what I should look at? Anyone want to offer up your blog to help me troubleshoot?

  Thanks for your help! I posted a comment on your blog (on your WLW Test post). It didn’t show up. Check your spam– I’m guessing that’s where it went for some reason. If you confirm that, I’ll follow up in that direction. If not, let me know whether you see any record of it.

  You are being caught by the Akismet spam filter. I “despammed” you, but you might want to head over to http://akismet.com/ and use the contact form there to alert them. Give them all the details including your email address and your blog address so they can correct things.

  Unfortunately, Akismet says that it is WordPress’s fault, and pointed me to:

  WordPress bug

  Hopefully it is fixed soon :-(.

  Grrrr….

  Akisment says it is a WordPress bug.

  WordPress support says that blogs I’m posting to must be moderated, and blog owners don’t like what I have to say. I’m quite certain that isn’t what is happening.

  Thank you thesacredpath for helping me!

  I had changed my display name from imbookingit to I’m Booking It. In retrospect, it is clear that having an ‘ in it probably was a bad plan. But I changed it back, and my last test post worked!

  Unfortunately, I have to run off now, but I’ll try commenting at a couple of blogs, and see if I’m fixed everywhere.
