Can't link to my posts page

Hi, I changed the Posts page title to Latest Posts. I changed the slug too, and checked the menu. My blog opens to my posts, but the Latest Posts link in the menu bar was empty. So I changed it back to simply Posts, but it is still empty. I know I should be able to put a link to the posts in the menu bar but I can’t figure out how to do it, or why it no longer works. Originally, I had it open to a static Welcome page. Please Help! Thanks

To clarify before I answer in full… Would you like your site to open to a static page? Or is your homepage as you would like it but you would like to link to your posts page separately? Thank You.

Oh, thanks Liz, for noticing my plea! I’d like it to open to the Welcome page but then they can’t access the posts from the menu bar. So right now, it is opening in the posts page — and they are all there. Not sure what happened. THe Posts page used to be listed in Pages as Posts – blog. Now it just says Posts. Could I have inadvertently trashed it? I don’t know how to find the trash in any case. THanks so much.
