can’t log in

hello i am using hostgator and i thought i can just go directly to wordpress account and it will automatically connect but its not

If your site is hosted by Hostgator it is a wordpress.ORG software install that we do not provide support for here at WordPress.COM.
We provide support only for sites hosted on WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum. Know that WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and you can read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
