Can't Log In

Hey there, I am trying to access another wordpress site of mine but when logging in it tells me that the user does not exist. When I try using the email address to recover password/username I’m told that there are no accounts linked to “this email”. Can someone please provide me with some guidance on how to regain access under such circumstances?

That site is running a standalone WordPress installation. It isn’t connected to WordPress.com.

I have exactly the same problem ! I had to change laptop and there is no “remembered” link for my wordpress dashboard for that website …
I know i have different emails but i am sure the one im entering should be the one for that website i created … Could you please help me with that ? the website is justineloiseau-reflexotherapie.fr .

It is the email that it does not recognise, but i am sure of the password that should come afterwards …

@artsoadesigns your issue is very similar. Your site isn’t hosted here with us, so there’s not much our staff can do to help you recover access.
However, you can work with your host to regain access. Show them this article and they should be able to help you through:

I’m not sure if you guys are understanding the issue that I’m having. WordPress is basically telling me that my wordpress account does not exist. The username nor email address is not recognized. It’s not an issue where my password doesn’t work; it’s the username/email address that doesn’t work. Please help.

WordPress is basically telling me that my wordpress account does not exist.
We do understand :) The account you created on guysonsoilandgas.com is separate from WordPress.com — the username and password for that account are stored on InMotion servers rather than ours.
You have two sets of login details:
- A username and password for your account on https://wordpress.com
- A username and password for logging in to the site itself at http://guysonsoilandgas.com/wp-admin
So you’ll want to make sure you are entering the username or email address for the site itself, not your WordPress.com account. Please contact InMotion for help you are sure the correct details are being entered on http://guysonsoilandgas.com/wp-admin — they should be able to help.
