Can’t log in

Had to register a new name, because I cannot log in with my usual name and access my blog. My password will not be accepted.
I have tried to reset my password, but keep getting a message that my e-mail is unknown.

I tried the “forgot your password” method, but it kept saying my e-mail address was unknown.
I contacted support, but didn’t know if this way would be faster/better, esp. as the login screen didn’t recognize my e-mail.
