I sent the email about 3 hours ago. Any idea how long it typically takes for a response?
I’m sorry but Staff have a considerable backlog of email support requests ie. support ticekets.They work through them in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps by working their way forward from the earliest to the most recent, as would be expected (first sent in – first served).
How long it takes to clear the support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in support ticket are are.
Please don’t send in another email or create another support thread here as that moves the timestamps forward and means it takes longer to get a response.

I was looking for help b/c the login process I’ve used for.months stopped working yesterday. I didn’t need someone to say I’m confused; or give me a primer on the difference between .Org and .com I need someone to fix whatever changed about my login process. That’s it.

For the hundredth time, my site is a wordpress.com site, so this is right forum, and there is no software involved, so I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Nancy – in talking with my host service, the issue is with my SSL certificate. My host service helped resolve the issue, and sent this link to explain what needed to be done: http://codex.wordpress.org/Administration_Over_SSL
I’m not sure if that is your issue, Nancy, but I’m able to log on now (on WordPress.com – that’s right, WordPress.com). I hope your host service is able to help you if you have a similar situation.

The fact that you have a web host other than WordPress.com means that you are not using WordPress.com software; you are using WordPress.ORG software. You are in the wrong forum. I believe you when you say you have no idea what I am talking about, but I am telling you the truth. You are in the wrong forum.

That’s not true. U can use wordpress.com software to create a website that is hosted on a third party hosting service. I know that because that’s what I have.

My hosting service offers wordpress.com as part of many software packages available at no additional cost. It’s all included in the cPanel. It’s turnkey Internet and I highly recommend them.

You use WordPress.ORG software to create a website that is hosted elsewhere.
No WordPress.com blog is connected to a cPanel. None. Not one of the 35 million. Only WordPress.ORG blogs have cPanels and not all of those.
