Can't log in with Jetpack for the Avocado. I need to connect it to wordpress.

I start at the wp-login.php in page and then I click on the blue ‘log in with wordpress.com’ button.
This takes me to a page that says ‘jetpack’ at the top which recognizes my gmail account, and says ‘log in with The Avocado’.
So I click the green ‘log in’ button, then it takes me to an error message which says ‘We couldn’t find your account. If you already have an account, make sure you have connected to WordPress.com.’ I can’t log in. It keeps repeating.

I do not see any Jetpack-connected sites under your @orangemo8 account. Is it possible that the Jetpack site is connected to a different WordPress.com login instead?
The reason that link does not work is because you are logged in as @orangemo8, but if you sign out of this account, and then sign in to WordPress.com as “The Avocado”, then if you click that button on wp-login.php, it will work correctly

What is the URL of the site you are trying to access? You are not an admin on the site but have some other reason for logging in? I’m not sure I understand so it may help to have a bit more info about what you are trying to accomplish on that site.

Thanks for clarifying. To explain, we do not control the login for this site, only the site owner does. To access this site you will need to have the owner of the site invite you (so that you have access under your orangemo8 account) by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/#adding-users-to-your-site
Until they officially invite you to access the site (and you accept the invite) it is not possible to use the ‘log in with wordpress.com’ button.
