Can’t log into admin

Hi, I have recently started using wordpress to amend a website which was created by someone else, and I have now taken over the admin duties. Whilst messing around with the admin console and general settings, I have accidently deleted several letters from the domain name in general settings, and clicked ‘Ok’ to change. I now cant log back into the dashboard using wp-admin and have no idea what to do. Help Please!

That sounds like a very stressful situation to be locked out of your dashboard right after taking over the site! I understand that must be alarming, but this is usually correctable.
To figure out the best way to help, we first need to know where your site is hosted. Could you please share the website’s URL?
Once we have the URL, we can check its setup:
- If your site is hosted here at WordPress.com, we can investigate and help you get that setting corrected.
- If your site is hosted with a different provider (using the self-hosted WordPress software), you will need to contact your hosting provider. They have access to the site’s database, which is where that incorrect URL needs to be fixed.

Hi, my issue isnt fixing the website- it is that I can’t log into the wordpress admin page as I have accidently changed the URL’s in general settings. This means that when I go to log in, it takes me to the new URL which has accidently been pasted into the general settings. I really need someone from wordpress to access the admin page on my behalf and return the URL’s to their original name (mallacootagolfclub.com.au), so I can then get access again and do what I need to do.

The site itself isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com, so to get access to your WordPress admin dashboard, you’ll need to contact the company that hosts your site, which is Synergy Wholesale here: https://synergywholesale.com/support-centre/
