cant log into my admin page

    Hello,
    I just registered with BlueHost and WordPress.com a few hours ago. When I go to http://www.mydomainname.com/wp-admin – I am asking to put my username and password. The computer keeps telling me its a ERROR: Invalid username. Lost your password? When I click on ‘lost your password’ and type in my email address it tells me ‘ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address.’ This is perplexing as I have an email from worldpress.com saying ‘Helpful reminder: At any time, log into your account with your username, xxxxxxxx, or your email address.’

    Please can someone explain how can I log into my website under construction as an admin?

    Hi there,

    You’ll need to contact Bluehost support for help with that – they should have sent you your site’s admin password and username when you installed the site with them, and it sounds like they haven’t created a user account on the site for you yet.

    That username and password is stored in the site’s database on Bluehost’s servers, and has nothing to do with your WordPress.com account credentials. We can’t help you reset the credentials for the site itself.
