Cant log into wordpress admin to access my site

    Hi,

    I received a notification via email that a new user was registered and made admin, followed by a password chabge notification. Now I cant access my website or reset my password for my site.

    I know that it was hacked by a former employee how do I recover?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    It does indeed sound like your site might have been compromised, but we’re not able to help with that as your site is not hosted on our servers. You can manage it via your WordPress.com account thanks to the Jetpack plugin, but user accounts and access control is not part of the features Jetpack has access to.

    Please contact support at Afrihost directly for help with this. You should be able to remove the new user and restore your own access by directly accessing the database from their end.
