Can't Login

  I’m able to login, but then it asks me for my 2-step text confirmation.
  I have a new phone number so that won’t work.
  It asks me for my authenticator app, but I no longer have it installed, so can’t reset that up. I’m literally logged in, no issues there. Just should never have done 2-step if the Password recovery link isn’t enough to get me back in I guess.

  Hi @awolframicloudcom Ive checked this user account, and it does not seem to have two-step enabled.

  Is it possible you created your more than one login with us? Normally when you set up two-step authentication, you are asked to print out and save 10 backup codes, which you can use to regain access. Do you no longer have these to pull a auth code from?

  Jerry,

  Even though I know my password, I can’t access it. Even with password recovery, I’m locked out. That said:

  1) You are looking at the wrong account. I couldn’t submit a topic, because you have to be logged in. So I created a new account for this topic with @iCloud
  2) Two factor is turned ON, but it’s’ asking for an old phone number (gone) and authenticator app (also gone)
  3) Password reset works, but then it still asks for 2 factor.

  4) I CAN NOT use the recovery link provided below because (and I had already failed that route):
  a) I don’t have a purchase to reference a transactions ID
  b) I don’t have an activation because it was years ago, and well, I shouldn’t be locked out if I remember my password!
  c) I can’t use the 2 factor option to prove account ownership. See above.

  So, although I clearly have access to the email account, AND my photo is a match in Gravatar, I can’t get into my account.

  I need an admin override.

  Okay, in that case please email passwordhelp[at]wordpress.com from the email address associated with that account, and our account recovery team will advise you on the next steps.
