Can’t login

    I’m so lost. Everything worked yesterday, now I can’t login to one of my sites.

    I have two websites; one is rogueneuron.com, and I should have a WordPress.org account for that with the email (email visible only to moderators and staff). The other site is my personal one, staceyneglia.com, which I use a different email for.

    I can’t log in to the RogueNeuron one, and I’m not getting password reset emails. For some reason I also can’t chat, so somebody PLEASE help, this is so incredibly frustrating.

    It seems like it’s something with the whole .com/.org thing maybe, I have no idea, these two accounts have always seemed entangled somehow.

    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your websites. However, your sites are not hosted with WordPress.com. They are using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

    WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    With that said, they do have some options for you at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

    Thanks…… I did actually, you know, try to solve the problem myself before posting, so I did find the resetting your password support article… jesus christ.

    Obviously, that didn’t work!!!

    I’ve posted on the .org forums….. I really have no idea why WordPress ever decided to do two different kinds of sites but they don’t separate well and I am CONSTANTLY running into issues.

    Anyway, I AM actually finally getting the password reset emails now, but they don’t work.
