Can’t login

  I have been working on this website for the past few months and have had no problems. However, today I have been trying to login to worpress but it keeps saying I do not have an account. My username as you can see is christoallen03, it states ‘We couldn’t find your account’. I have tried to login through email and username to be told I do not have an account.

  Thank you for the response. However, after reviewing the post you linked it does not help. I am not getting server or network related errors. I am getting “this account does not exist” error. When I select Login from the jetpack screen it shows my account. When I choose either “login through wordpress” or click login with that account it states “We couldn’t find your account. If you already have an account, make sure you have connected to WordPress.com.” I have used this method to login for the past 4 months and am just now having issues.

  Hi there,

  As mentioned in the other post you made, we can’t help directly because we don’t host revgregorykehn.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

  Instead your host (GoDaddy) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we use a custom login system that is unique to WordPress.com (for enhanced security) and our processes for regaining account access does not work for sites hosted with other providers.

  The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through GoDaddy, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org support article will walk you through it: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

  You can ask GoDaddy support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
