Can’t login to old account!
-
I have another wordpress account attached to a different login but I no longer have access to that email address. I am being billed for subscriptions but to the wrong account and I need to change them. I have tried filling out this page https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery but it says that the website is not associated with WordPress. I can’t find anyone to talk to to help me login! Please help :(

As you getting billed, you can very easily restore access to your lost account using the Transaction ID at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

Sure, but then the following alert pops up:
“Sorry but the website you gave does not exist on WordPress.com. Is it a self-hosted WordPress.org website?” -

Hi there,
I looked on Whoishostingthis.com and according to https://www.whoishostingthis.com/#search=papillex.com your site is hosted on Unified Layer, which means that it doesn’t use WordPress.com (but may use WordPress.org). Staff are unable to assist in this case.
If you use the open-source software (WordPress.org) please go to their support forum for further support: https://wordpress.org/support/forums.
If you want to know more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, read the support document https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/.Thanks!

Right but that’s not really the problem; I have a login associated with a particular email that no longer exists on wordpress.com called (email visible only to moderators and staff).
I try and fill out the password recovery form but have no website to put in so cannot access the account.
I am being billed by WooCommerce whom I contacted who then told me to login to WooCommerce.com as all WooCommerce accounts are associated with WordPress.com
But I can’t login to WordPress.com because it keeps emailing me an access code to the defunct email.

If it is a billing question perhaps whoever you’re paying money to….BlueHost?… should be the people to call.

Sorry I cross posted. You never mentioned that it was an issue with WooCommerce connected to a WordPress.com account. This thread is now tagged for staff assistance.

Hi there,
If you have access to the email address that’s associated with that account, then you can reset the password using the following tool. There’s no need to enter a site address, just your email address.

So, in that situation you need to provide proof of ownership in order to regain access.
Your transaction information will be sufficient for account recovery. Please, DO NOT post those details here. Use that form I linked above.
