Can’t Login to WordPress

  Okay so my issue is rather complicated and honestly just makes zero sense. Okay, so I purchased a website/domain through HostGator the other day. I then installed WordPress afterwards through Host Gator to build the site. I CAN access the account via my admin link to the site because it automatically logs me in. BUT, if I try to directly log into WordPress.com I simply get a message saying that my password is incorrect. I have even tried to reset my password (again accessing the profile page via the automatic admin login) and when I type that generated password in, I still somehow get a message saying the password is incorrect. I just want to be able to directly log in through wordpress and not have to worry about using a admin link to automatically log me in . SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

  I must add that the account I am using to post this on the forums is not the account that runs the site. That username for the account I am referring to is Derek and the website is called showroomshinedetail.com

  Nevermind it seems that I have mixed WordPress.ORG and .COM I think I was able to log in with .ORG since I used a different site to host and used WP as a free editor.

  regarding the portion of the question that is not yet answered “I just want to be able to directly log in through wordpress and not have to worry about using a admin link”

  There is a way you can connect you existing WordPress.ORG site with WordPress.COM i.e by installing JetPack Plugin in your existing site https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/ , and connecting your site with WordPress, you just need a WordPress.com account for that , and you already have it.

  besides controlling your site via WordPress.com, JetPack also comes with lots of other benefits such as security, performance, Stats an so on.
