Can't login to wp-admin, won't email link to new password

    Out of nowhere I was logged out of my WordPress admin account and I’ve been working on it everyday for a week without having any issues, so that’s weird first of all. Anyway, went back to my host page to try and re-access it through the admin panel, was asked to login to my WordPress account and I swear I typed my username and password correctly but it still wouldn’t log me in. Clicked lost password, typed in my email but says no user registered with that email. Typed the username for the account that holds the same email address I tried and it works but it won’t send me an email. Don’t understand why the username works but the email does not, and you can’t send a link to a username. I have no idea what the issue is and I’m still learning hosting and WordPress so it my be something super simple, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

    colinweickmann.com is a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, hosted by SiteGround, not by wordpress.COM.

    That site is not on our servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, and many people get confused about the two.

    This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
