Can’t Login with Email/Username – Can Only Login Through Activation Code Sent Through Email

  Hi,

  1. I’m unable to login with my email or username and unable to recover a password because WordPress doesn’t think it exists. However, if I go back in my activation email, I’m able to login through following the activation URL.

  Errors that occur:

  When trying to login through email:
  Unknown email address. Check again or try your username.

  When trying to login with username:
  The username ______ is not registered on WordPress.org. If you’re unsure of your username, you can attempt to log in using your email address instead.

  When trying to recover password with username or email:
  Error: There is no account with that username or email address.

  2. I have tried the recovery account forum, and I cannot recover my account that way, because the forum says that the URL activation code is ‘invalid’ despite how I can login with that code. I don’t have any other proof of ownership.

  Any suggestions on how I can resolve this issue? This is also the first time I’m using the help center and I’m unsure of how to proceed or if I’m using the help center correctly. Thank you.
