Can't make a link "bold"

I just posted an update to my blog and wanted to make the “report” link bold. For some reason I could not. Any idea what I did?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
Try highlighting the work “report” in your link and click on the “strong” button in your visual editor. It should insert the tags like this: report to make your link bold. If not, type them in and see what happens.I hope this helps! =)

Maybe I misunderstand but this is what I’ve always done. It does not work now?

So let me ask this once again….
Does the visual “link” icon no longer work? Do I have to type “strong” into my text area from now on?

I tested the visual editor link and bold (“b”) buttons in the theme you are using and was able to make the link bold:
I don’t know why you are experiencing this issue.
There were recent changes made to the Visual editor that might be impacting you. There is a sticky note posted in this forum about the changes:

Well, I am not able to….so I guess I will have to live without it. Just don’t understand why it works on everything but links?
