can't make changes to wordpress site

  I am trying to change the theme of my blog but nothing is happening (I can’t make any changes at all!)

  I am not sure if this is because I am hosting it through 1and1?

  Apologies but I really am a beginner so please help with straightforward answers!!

  Please advise how I can make changes to the site,
