can't make my blog public again

Hi,
I can’t make my blog public again even after going to settings–>privacy because I can’t seem to unclick that button that says “I would like to make my blog private…”.
Pls help!!

It sounds like you may have a browser related issue. These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:

using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
upgrading the browser to the latest stable version rather than running a buggy BETA version http://browsehappy.com/

trying another browser like Firefox 11 or Safari
resetting your router and modem

If those troublshooting tips don’t work then in addition to teeling us which browser and version of it your are using, we will also need you to post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question.

try as I might, I can’t change it. followed the instruction to the suggestions but didn’t work.
I’m using a macbook, safari.

I notice you wrote that you can’t ‘unclick’ the priivate button, and i wonder if perhaps you are clicking on the ‘private’ button to undo it (which you can’t do) rather than clicking on ‘allow search engines’. Maybe it’s as simple as that? Just a thought.
