Can't make thumbnails show at the front

  I have the Expound appearance at http://sydneyurbandebate.wordpress.com/ which promises an ‘magazine’ appearance including thumbnail photos linked to the intros to blogs on the home page but for life of me I can’t seem to make this happen, do you know how this could happen?

  I have attached a photo to my first blog but it is not showing as a thumbnail at the front

  Hi there,

  You first need to go to Appearance->Customize->Featured Content and enter a featured tag:
  https://sydneyurbandebate.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsydneyurbandebate.wordpress.com%2F

  Then, add that tag to some posts, and also add a featured image to those posts. Here are instructions on how to set a featured image:
