can't move stuff out of one category to another

    I’ve been working with WP for days now, wasting hours upon hours and I am coming to the conclusion that it is way too convoluted to work with.
    I’m trying to do many things, have figured a few out, but over-all, it takes too much time. Right now I have two postings of the same thing. I am trying to move it from one category to another and it just does not work.

    It would help if you could be more specific. Are you saying you have duplicate posts, or two different posts on the same topic. Post categories are assigned to each post separately. To change a category assigned to a post to another category merely requires removing one category and adding the other in the post editor.

    Some things to consider:

    • A category page will include every post assigned to that category.
    • A single post may have multiple categories assigned to it.
    • So a single post may appear in multiple category pages.
