Can't paste

I’ve been posting for over a year by just clicking’paste’ but now when I try to post an article and click paste a message comes up saying to paste I must use keyboard shortcuts – ctrl+V/Cmd+V – Well, I can’t figure out how to do that and it will not let me do it the regular way. I’m not a computer savvy person but I try hard and this has me stumped. Seems to me that is not a shortcut. Sure seems easier to just click paste and have it appear. Also don’t know if this is my computer that has made this change or the wordpress site. I hope someone can help quickly. I was really hoping to publish this today. Thanks.

Do you have any browser add ons or extensions that are enabled? Can you let me know if the issue persists from a different browser?

I just tried pasting with internet explorer(which runs WAY slow on my computer) and it let me paste the regular way. I did notice this started after the system did an update. I do so hate windows 10. I never know what to expect after an update. This one takes the cake. Tried to restore and it wouldn’t let me do that either. Windows 10 does not like internet explorer. Now I’m going to shut down and start over and see if that changes anything. ( btw, I did post my article. I just typed it into the page.) I’ll let you know.

I found the version change to Windows 10 to be smooth sailing. The Edge browser is way better than IE 11. Why don’t you try using it?>

I have been using Windows 10 and the Edge browser for almost a year now, that is what is giving me this problem of not being able to copy/paste from my Word. Up until the other day I had no problem with it then it did an update and now I can’t. I don’t find the Edge browser to be better than Internet Explorer but it works way too slow in Windows 10 so I switched. Like I said, every time they do an update something goes awry.
Timethief, can you copy/paste from Edge browser?Shutting down and turning back on didn’t fix the problem either. Any ideas how I can get it back? Otherwise it looks like I will have to use slow IE to post on WP. This really sucks!

No. I don’t copy and paste at all. I compose in the classic editor.

I’ve always used Microsoft word processor to compose.
Might be time to do things differently.
