Can’t paste URLs into Link box??

About a week ago I started to have a problem pasting URLs into the box that comes up when you click the Link icon in the post toolbar. Instead the system copies the text I highlight for the link, then pastes that in. Do I have something enabled that shouldn’t be or something? I have a feeling this is due to some really dumb mistake on my part, so apologies in advance…

can you not just delete the text the system puts in and replace it with the correct link before ok’ing it? worst case scenario is that you can just do it in html as well. :)

Hey tuffy, long time no see.
Yes, I’ve noticed the tinyMCE popup is glitchy lately. It’s nothing you’re doing as far as I can see, it’s doing strange things for me as well sometimes. I’m using Firefox at the moment.
If I were you I would send a feedback stating exactly what was happening, on which posts. It’s something to do with the tinyMCE feature, and needs staff attention.

FYI everybody, I got some help from Mark in Support and figured out this was caused by a Firefox plug-in called AutoCopy. Doh! So if you’re having a Firefox-specific problem, it may be because of a plug-in.
