Can’t play mp3 with imeem url

  I used the audio tags to create the default audio player. The url was generated from my file uploaded at imeem. I know imeem players are not allowed but I thought the url should still be ok? I can see the audio player but the song doesn’t play. Anyone got ideas?

  The URL for the audio player actually has to have a link that ends in .mp3 to play the file. I don’t think that one you are trying to use does.

  If the url isn’t an hotlink – something that gives the real file like http://…../filename.mp3 you won’t make it work here.

  Try to use sites that allow hotlinks, like hotlink itself ;)

  no, imeem dosent allow hotlinking of files.

  It’s also a restricted file. You have to be logged in to load it.

  I have tried hotlinkfiles and musicwebtown…hotlinkfiles says my file is too big even though it is only 2.9mb and the link i put for musicwebtown doesn’t play either…any other ideas?

  Or use another site like Box.net or Odeo.com. Both of those work just fine.

  Hotlink works for me. Maybe it is your network system that is limiting the size of your uploads.
  I know that the network were I work does.
  But i upload with no problems at all at home.

  May be the network. It’s that one where it’s been noted here before that is known for having connection issues. (Without stating what it is due to privicy concerns)

  ok thanks managed to sort it out…just that some songs seem to be slow even with 44.1…hmm strange
