Can’t post anything but the title

  Help! I don’t know how to get this thing started. I can’t type anything but the title of the post. Its pretty frustrating. I don’t know if I’m missing something or if there’s something wrong with the system. If I can type the title you’d think I’d be able to type the page. I had the same problem with my other blog until it just started working after I whined about it.

  So perhaps “whining” about it will fix it on this blog! ;)

  Probably not though. Have you tried turning off the rich-text editor?

  When you say you can’t type anything but the title, what do you mean? Is the main text box for the post not there?

  What browser are you using?

  Have you sent in feedback?

  Sorry to throw so many questions at you, just need to understand the exact problem.

  I’ve experienced this problem. It’s intermittent, and never seems to last longer than an hour. Dropping a feedback to staff and waiting maybe a half-hour seems ot be the best way to deal with it until staff nail down exactly what is going on.

  May also want to try clearing your browser’s cache and doing a forced reload (CTRL-F5) of the page in question to see if something just didn’t get loaded correctly.

  Which editor are you using anyway? I’ve never had the issue with the normal text editor. I can see where it would occur with the rich text editor though.

  Yes, that’s where it happens. Clearing the cache doesn’t seem to have any effect; just waiting does.

  What happens is that everything seems to come up normally, and you can put in a headline but the cursor simply will not go into the text box. Nor can you tab over to HTML. It won’t work.

  This problem is back, at least for me. Can’t post anything; haven’t been able to for an hour. Sent Feedback, did a total restart, didn’t fix it, sent another Feedback.

  I’m using internet explorer and I am having the same problem. I can type in FireFox but no IE. Very frustrating. It’s not just for a few hours. It’s been for over a month now.

  Yes, I’ve done everything suggested. Version 6.0 of IE. Any new suggestions?

  I would send a Feedback. If you’ve tried all the workarounds here, that’s all we can do. I’m using the same version of IE and not experiencing this.
