Can't post image from url

Since the Media Manager change, I haven’t had luck with getting an image from URL to be visible on the post. To conserver my memory usage, I try to only upload images that are featured or are my own. When I use the URL option, it only publishes the URL as a link and not the image itself. Suggestions?
I don’t have a sample to post, because I haven’t wanted to post a hyperlink in place of image. If needed, I can go ahead and do it, then delete.

No, that’s just selecting how the image is shown after clicking it. My problem WAS that the image wouldn’t appear at all, just the hyperlink.
WAS is the word, because it doesn’t seem to be an issue now. I’m wondering if it was a glitch or if perhaps I wasn’t double clicking to auto-inserted “http:/” and was ending up with “http:/http:/” causing an error. It would be nice if that http was a ghost and didn’t have to be removed every time, but I’m not going to be nitpicky. It even appears to work for images that I right click and copy link location. Before it wouldn’t do that and I always had to right click to view image and then copy that address. So….. I’m happy.
