Can’t post latest blog content to Facebook

I published a new blog post this morning. It does show up on the blog. When I add the blog link on my Facebook page, it does not recognize text or photos from today’s post. It adds text from my previous post; it’s as though Facebook exists 1 day behind WordPress. I have noticed this for several weeks.
I can imagine Facebook will blame WordPress and vice versa. I’m curious if anyone else has had this problem? If so, how did you address it?

We can’t help without the title of the post you’re talking about, and a link would be helpful. It’s quite possible what’s happening on your computer is not happening on ours, etc.

Facebook doesn’t recognize the latest content, it’s as though FB is looking at my blog yesterday, not today. I’m not sure how else to explain it.

Are you using our Publicize feature, Facebook’s Notes importer, or some other Facebook app?

I need the title of the post itself, not just the blog, otherwise I can’t tell if we’re talking about the same post.

macmanx: I’m not using an app, simply sharing the link on my FB wall. FB pulls in text from the top of the page, plus photos if there are any. In my case, FB seems to be looking at my blog before the latest post was published.
raincoaster: I don’t link to specific posts, I share the main blog page. I find that more people look at more of my content if I don’t link to a specific post. In general, FB ignores the most recent post, whichever post that happens to be. -
Unfortunately, when using the Share link, FB simply scrapes the page itself for content. It will find what it finds, and FB seems to change how that works almost every week.
If you want to use the Share button to share posts to Facebook, try sharing from the single post view instead.
The best thing to do would be to use our Publicize feature. It’s far more accurate, and it’ll happen automatically.

But that doesn’t help me look at your blog and tell you whether or not the post is showing on the blog AND/OR in the RSS feed.

I have my own problem with links but i can say that your previous blog post image are displaying because facebook is caching them ff you use the generic link. I might suggest yu try pulling the correct post up as a single post and then try that link.
MY PROBLEM IS
Facebook will accept any link on my site BUT for the PROFILE linkw in my buddypress site.They symtpom is :
Facebook reads the page finds the iamge and an shor bit regarding the page contest.
but does not find the title (even though it is there in the same manner as the rest of hte pages)Facebook response when trying to post it:

People, raincoaster knows wordpress, and she knows facebook better than anyone else here, but she cannot help you if you do not give her what she is asking for. She isn’t asking simply to be asking. She needs that information.

Well, I don’t, actually. I have better things to do, so I’ll go do them now instead of helping these people.
(I know the one above me doesn’t have a WP.com site, but thought I’d say it one more time for the training value).

MY PROBLEM is that Publicize works perfectly sending posts from a blog I created at work (http://ilovemyhsl.org/) to my personal Facebook account…. but I don’t want it to go there! I am an administrator on a Facebook page at work (http://www.facebook.com/unc.hsl) and I can’t get Publicize to send my posts there instead of my own FB account page. Any way to work around this?

There is no way to get publicize to do this as far as I’m aware. You can add the posts to your FB page manually, or use a blog app such as the WordPress app, notes or Networked Blogs to automatically pull in your posts, but it increases your chances of the post showing in Friends’ news feeds if you manually post it.
