Can’t post up new, nor edit

Hello there. I can’t seem to post nor edit previous posts. My site appears to be in lock down. Two things I can think of: I’ve run out of space or, since I have paid links, have I violated the rules, and would need web-hosting? I see now business on sites is not allowed. I read that before, and so got my own domain and so no longer have wordpress in the url. Did that not solve that? Forgive my ignorance. And thanks for any help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Getting a new domain name does not exempt you from the terms of service, so either those paid links will have to go or you will have to find hosting, install WordPress software from WordPress.org, and run it yourself there. You can export an existing WP.COM blog to a WP.ORG one easily.

If staff have suspended your blog, you will have a notice on the Dashboard of that blog. Contact staff that way.

Business on sites is allowed (it’s part of how I make my living) but PAID ADVERTISING, as opposed to raising your professional profile and posting your rates, etc, is not allowed.

Right, I was afraid of that. Yes, mine’s paid advertising, not only upping profile.
Staff may not have suspended my blog, though, as I don’t see that notice.
All I know is I can’t edit, post up a photo, or realign properly a new post, still.

I’ve 2 years remaining on paid for WP.com domain. If switching over to WP.org,
or finding webhosting, would I lose that, or how’s that work?

Also, would you recommend justhost, or blue? I need it only for a small business – occasional paid links, plus paypal window.

Thanks so much, raincoaster, for the fantastic help!

I don’t use independent hosts; I’m hosted here. But you can ask over at WordPress.org, they’ve got a lot of recommendations.

If you have no warning on your dashboard, maybe what you have is a browser issue. Log out, clear browser cache and cookies, and restart the computer. Often that clears such things up.

If you move, but have been using the same domain name, you should be fine. Be sure to set your new blog so the permalinks have the same structure as WP.com permalinks, otherwise your internal links from one post to another will not work.

Thank you very much, raincoaster. You’ve been a great help.

You’re welcome. Good luck with the move.
