Can't publish

  I can’t publish new posts. Although I chose to publish immediately, it automatically set a scheduled time and then the post just stuck there, never came out. I then set a scheduled time for the post but it did not work either.

  This problem only appeared during recent weeks. It never happened before fore me. I’m wondering what can be the reason and how to solve it.

  Scheduled posts do not publish until the first visitor to the site after the date and time scheduled clicks in and triggers publication of the post.

  Please confirm your timezone setting and if required reset it. The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.

  If you still have an issue provide the title and URL of the scheduled post in question.

  Thank you for your reply. The problem is, I did not schedule post. I set it publish immediately. But it was automatically scheduled.

  Do I understand correctly that a new post can only be published (whether scheduled or published immediately) when there’s a visitor visit the site?

  In many cases, readers only come to the site when there’s a new post published. It would then be tricky to get new post published. Would you agree?

  Could you confirm, even if I set publish immediately, it still need a visitor to trigger the publication?

  No you do not need a visitor to trigger publication of any post that is no scheduled. http://en.support.files.wordpress.com/2014/02/publish-immediately-edit.png?w=688 You must have experienced a glitch.
